Human Landscapes

Human Landscapes

About This Campaign

The Human Landscape project created as a collaborative work between Association Inesperada and Core Performance Co aligns with the projected theme of France-Atlanta 2017: the art of coexistence or, as described in the popular expression coined by the French: le vivre-ensemble.

A Human Landscape, the experience of a creation on history, memory, travel, encounters, the migration of beings, gestures and stories is deeply rooted in the idea of exiliance, the existential nucleus common to all experiences by migrants, regardless of eras, cultures and circumstances.

Core Dance

Campaign to Support Core Dance

Core Dance creates art, facilitates art-making, and engenders art engagement for those seeking to connect with what makes us uniquely human: our intellect, our emotional body, our spiritual center. The body is our playground, movement our building blocks. Within our bodies resides the whole of life, every truth. Through dance and the process of creating it we activate that which makes us individually unique and connect it to that which makes us indivisibly One. Core Dance was founded in 1980 by Sue Schroeder. We call both Atlanta, GA and Houston, TX home. We cultivate dance awareness and education nationally and internationally through our three organizational initiatives: Core Performs, Core Presents and Core Connects. Core Performance Company, the professional contemporary dance company of Core, is internationally acclaimed for its emotionally lucid and instantly accessible work.
