Class Instructor: Marina Mezzogiorno-Brown and Collective

Class Description: I GOT YOUR BACK

I GOT YOUR BACK is a workshop that invites participants to explore the basics of group physical work and creative writing. It aims to nurture connections among participants whilst building trust and self-confidence. To begin, participants will be guided through gentle exercises to tune into their bodies and familiarize themselves with short writing exercises. They will learn how to lift and carry each other safely, play with balance and engage in creative group movements, adapted to the group’s abilities (static to more dynamic acrobatics moves). Between each section, short creative writing exercises will be led, taking the participants a little deeper into their imagination. At the end of the workshop, there will be a facilitated session for participants to share and exchange their writings or experiences.

There is no need to have any physical or acrobatic training to participate, we can adapt accordingly to anyone wanting to join.
