The Life/Art Process®, developed by Anna Halprin and Daria Halprin, bridges body awareness, art expression, and psychological processes, providing people with an opportunity to experience dance and the expressive arts to learn, heal, expand creativity, and develop new strategies for personal and professional life. This groundbreaking, innovative approach to human development, embodied creativity, and transformative learning began in the 1950s, and was developed further with the launch of the Tamalpa Institute in 1978, California. The workshop will introduce participants to the legacy of Anna & Daria Halprin, along with an embodied experience of how their approach enlivens dialogue between body and imagination, life experiences and art making. Using movement, drawing, writing and improvisational performance, participants will tap into art’s symbolic language to explore current life themes and generate new resources.

No previous dance or art experience is required to attend.
